Terms of Service


in the following, "i" , "me" , "the artist" will refer to underling223."the client" , "you" will refer to any person, persons, or parties that may or will commission the artist."work" , "art" , "piece" will refer to the art being made for the client by the artist.

- the artist has the right to deny any commission request for any reason, including those not outlined in the artist's commission sheet.- after confirming the details and price of a commission, an upfront payment of at least 50% of the total cost of the commission must be paid to the artist.- projected turnaround times are not always exact. commissions may take more or less time than projected. if the client wishes to have their art on a set deadline, a rush charge may be incurred.- payments made to the artist before commission confirmation will be considered donations in the case that the commission request be denied. always confirm commission details with the artist before making a payment.- prices may be subject to change depending on complexity of the character, pose, level of detail, among other factors.- the artist will offer progress shots and the ability to tweak or change the piece as it is worked on. positive feedback with no requests for changes to the work will be considered approval from the client during check ins.- record of conversations between the client and artist in regards to commission progress will be saved, and may be made public by the artist or client.- after the sketch is approved by the client, the client may not make major or fundamental changes to the pose or overall composition of the work.- after line art is approved by the client, the client is allowed limited tweaks/adjustments to pose or overall composition of the work. major changes that would require the artist to restart or spend significant time updating may result in a fee.

Cancellations / Refunds

- if the client is unsatisfied with the final work, a refund will not be issued.- unprofessional behavior, such as rushing, harassing, or belittling the artist may be considered grounds for the artist to cancel the commission without providing a final piece.- in the event that the artist cancels the commission due to unprofessional behavior on behalf of the client, the artist will keep all paid money- if the artist cancels the commission due to lack of ability or skill, a refund of up to 50% will be issued. exact percentage of the refund will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Ownership and Rights to The Work

when a commission is completed, possession of the work will remain between the artist and the client.the client has exclusive right to use the work for personal use. (profile picture, banner, or emoji, for example) however, the client must credit the artist wherever the work is used.the client is not allowed to use the piece commercially. unless agreed upon between both the client and the artist, neither the client nor the artist is allowed to use the work to generate profit.the artist is allowed to use the work for advertisement, (portfolios, etc) unless otherwise negotiated.

by commissioning the artist, you agree that you have read and accepted these terms.
